Acceptance and Commitment Therapy workshop for physiotherapists

Have you been wondering how to adapt behavioural principles from Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) in your practice as a physiotherapist?

…Or are you curious about ACT?

This unique 2 days’ workshop is given by: Graciela Rovner, PhD in Rehabilitation medicine. The first and only physiotherapist that is recognized ACT trainer by the ACBS (Association of Contextual Behavioural Sciences). This workshop is open to professionals working with people with chronic mental and/or physical conditions in the area of rehabilitation.

After the 2 days’ workshop you are able to:

1. Understand the history and different pain conceptualizations and their implications for the effectiveness of the ACT based and integrated pain rehabilitation programs.

2. Learn an ACT-consistent assessment procedure for the inter-professional team working in an integrated care (or multidisciplinary pain clinic)

3. Use research in the area of chronic pain measurements and assessment used in ACT- based rehabilitation programs

4. Revise the evidence supporting ACT for chronic pain

5. Unlock the patients from being sucked in their ‘pain control-agenda’ in the first session
